But in my room (upstairs) i have my laptop and my xbox 360 and a router (it is wireless but i cant set it to act as a bridge). Ok, basically this is my setup of my house: downstairs we have numerous modems and wireless linksys routers because we have 2 different internets. Im not quit sure how to use my router to solve this. Then its was a lease problem but now it is a def gateway problem. I figured out it was an IP adress conflict between the host computer and my xbox. Also i thought there was a better solution than, restart computer every 1/2hour and race to get 360 on first and then get crappy live. He told me to restart laptop and then before using ans internet using services on my laptop, to connect 360 first, im guessing to get 360 IP address firstm, before laptop, not that that method was great to begin with, it stop working anyway. One guy did have a solution that worked for a little. Basically i spent over 8 hrs try to get phone support and nobdy could help me. I get internet on my laptop but not 360.Īlso i spoke to xbox support, they directed me to supervisor, and he said he couldnt help me also i go directed to microsoft and then to HP and they couldnt help me. This is with a shared wireless internet connection. Here is the state of my problem as of 8PM jan 06, 2008 my 360 doesnt even egt a confirmed ip adress. it was working before, didnt seem to be anything different. i plugged my cable directly into the 360 from platop and my working wireless connection is shared. i also tried manuallly setting the wireless connection IP def gateway and subnet mask into 360. Ok so i shared my wireless internet connection.
